Ted is a New York based actor whose performing, teaching and collaborating has taken him across the country and back again dozens of times (and counting!).

Originally from Providence, RI, Ted did his undergraduate work at Providence College where his dad was a professor for over 40 years. He received an MFA in Acting from The University of Virginia and then headed west where work took him to San Diego, Los Angeles, Idaho and eventually Ashland, Oregon. There he began a treasured artistic relationship with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where, as a company member for 10 seasons (over the course of 26 years), he performed in 21 productions, worked and traveled as a teaching artist from Alaska to New Mexico, performed A Christmas Carol in a volcanic cave on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, became a semi-professional baker and met the love of his life.

But you can’t keep a true East Coaster away for too long. Even though the national tour of The 39 Steps took him around the country and he continues to travel and work in regional theatres, New York is where Ted put down roots, specifically Jackson Heights in Queens, where 167 languages are spoken in a single zip code and as many cuisines to match. It’s remarkable. His time in NYC has brought the joy of working Off- Broadway as well as on, most recently in The Great Society with Brian Cox as LBJ.
